Thanks for stopping by Season of Fitness. I’m Spring Villarrial. I have a day job as a chemist, but my passion is fitness. I teach various formats and am a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified personal trainer. Throughout my life I have been very active from either playing sports, or taking dance classes. While growing up, I wouldn’t say fitness was something that I was passionate about, I just enjoyed being active. Once I got into college and became much less active due to a full schedule, I found Zumba Fitness as an outlet. And as they say “the rest is history”.

After I began teaching Zumba, I quickly wanted to be involved in all other formats as much as possible. I became hooked on helping people while also staying fit myself. So now I am licensed/certified to teach Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Sentao, Zumba Gold, Les Mills Body Pump, Cycling, Hyperwear Sandbell Training, R.I.P.P.E.D, MUVZ Fitness, POUND Fitness, and Aqua.

Teaching classes allows me to connect to many different people, with different backgrounds. This allows me to help them find fitness in a fun way so they can stay consistent with a healthy routine. I decided to continue my education further as a fitness professional and became a certified personal trainer through NASM after teaching classes for about 6 years. I use this additional knowledge to provide more informative and effective classes while helping people on a more personal level.

The reason I wanted to start this blog was to reach more people to spread my passion about fitness to further promote healthy living. For most people fitness comes and goes in cycles, much like seasons. This is perfectly okay. I experience it too. I’ll have months of keeping my eating on track and doing my own work outs and then BOOM a month and a half of eating junk and not going to the gym on my own at all. It’s all about balance. The key is to keep the “unhealthy” cycles short and the healthy ones longer. I hope to help keep you in the healthy season longer by providing fun tips and workouts for you to check out. I’ll also post plenty of Zumba related content since that’s where all this started. Take a look around and enjoy!
